Hey all, I’m in the process of putting up the poster and postcard preorders, for people who want to jump in on the poro pin (quite a few left) / teemo magnet promos (7 left). Right now prints are $12 each unless you buy 3 (then they are $10 each). If you spend $40+, shipping is free. (I do not ship prints to Canada right now, sorry!)

The poster and shipping discounts are permanent and will always be active.

Alright guys here is the comparison photo of the buttons from cheapestbuttons.com (on the left) and purebuttons.com (on the right)… there are pros and cons for both buttons so where you buy your buttons, consider these points (also if anyone knows another button printing place, please let me know)

The left one is a typical button that is pretty common everywhere, lightweight mylar button (prob made with a tecre button press). The print quality is not the best (slightly grainy) but the colors are accurate and the grain isn’t noticeable unless you look closely. The mylar coating is extremely shiny/glossy.

The right one has better print quality (crisper and smooth) but something went wrong with the colors, the tongue is really orange looking irl and it looks like the contrast is too high.. the darks are too dark and lights are too light. The coating is less shiny and has a slight texture to it. It’s thinner but ever so slightly heavier than the other button. They are listed as 1.25” but imo it seems slightly smaller than the other button too o.o

edit: I should mention I made no edits on the file I sent both places so I’m not sure why the purebuttons order came out with strange colors XP

For placing orders themselves, purebuttons is not as friendly for small orders, the smallest order you can place is 50 buttons for ONE design (I have so many poros now!!). Pricing seems alright but their shipping makes small orders even worse (I had to pay like $11 shipping “orz). They don’t offer proofs as far as I know.

Cheapestbuttons has no design limit so you can make a ton of designs with only a few buttons each and they are ok with it, so its great for smaller orders. I don’t remember if shipping is always free over only over a certain amount but my last order shipped free which was awesome. You can add a $5 proof to your order and ask them to mail a physical proof and they will do it, which helps for color adjustment.

Hope this review helped someone out there thinking about printing buttons from third parties!

Yes :3 all the orders that have currently been placed that asked for a poro button now have 2 poro buttons in their order, I’ll be sending an email out later today to ask previous orders if they would like to change their order because of this promo

Do lots of research! Esp shipping research @_@ it can be a headache sometimes. I really recommend catprint.com for prints! They have a huge selection of paper types (ask them for a paper sample), reasonable prices, and quick turnarounds (and great customer service to boot)! For other products besides prints, I’m still experimenting haha

I think attending/selling in artist alleys in cons is a good way to get yourself known ^^ I personally haven’t attended a con yet so I can’t comment too much on it x_x

ok there we go!! I’ll take much better pictures some other day because 1. I have really unsteady hands when taking pictures so both of these are a bit blurry and 2. its cloudy/rainy today so the colors still aren’t accurate D: they are a lot more vibrant and purdy irl!

but I’m just really happy with how they turned out!!! ^w^

Thinking about it and scouting around / doing some research. I really like vinyl stickers but I’m afraid my drawings won’t come out nice… usually vector/solid looking graphics really pop as stickers. :3

Maybe I’ll go get them print at a place that sells sheets? Then you can buy a sheet with all the current chibies.. XD

i think the thin magnets you stick on a fridge should be cool

I’ve been looking into those but I haven’t found any keychain models that I actually like, but I’ll keep looking. :D

I’ve been thinking about stickers for a long time but unsure if my images would look nice as vinyl stickers tbh, I think flat/solid/vector looking pictures print best as stickers.

Would you guys be more interested in magnets than buttons? It’d look exactly the same but the backing would be a magnet instead of a pin (or I can also look into flat/thin magnets that are bigger in size so you can see the entire chibi)

I figure that might be a bit more useful/practical than buttons, but not sure if there is any interest in that

we decided to dance in front of a really strange looking monster who just killed some poor npc :D

all I’ve been doing lately is work + rift DX hopefully I’ll have time to get some art done this weekend
